Converting audio files

So does anyone know how I could convert an entire folder of audio files to another filetype? For example, I have a folder of flacc files, and I want to convert them all to mp3, but I don't feel like converting them one by one. Is there a way to just do something so the whole folder converts at once? Thanks.

There's Free Audio Converter, that you can download from dvdvideosoft.com. You can add as many files as you want to be converted, choose the bitrate for your mp3's, and specify where the files go after they're done converting. There's also Gold Wave, but that's not free, although it converts a lot faster. With free audio converter, depending on how many files you need to convert, it could take all day.
I'm not sure if ITunes can convert flac files or not. I have a feeling that it can, but I wouldn't recommend that. When ITunes is converting anything, it reduces my computer to a turtle crawl.

There is a program called Switch Sound File converter. there is a trial period where you can convert any type of files that you have. Once the trial period is over you can only convert to mp3 or wave. The trial period is 14 days. I have used the program and it works well and is relatively easy to use. you can convert an entire folder of files with Switch by using the keystroke ALT F.

Yes, both Switch and Goldwave work very very well for this.

I use Gold Wave for converting flac files. Don't know how to do all of them at once.

You can add an entire folder in Gold Wave. Right after the add files button is an add folder button. Is that what you were asking?

Switch is the way to go and it's very well worth purchasing.
